PM Modi meets his mother, younger brother in Gandhinagar during his Gujarat tour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday met his nonagenarian mother Heeraben in Raisan village near here after he made a brief stopover on his way to Ahmedabad Airport.
Heeraben lives with the PM's younger brother Pankaj Modi in the village.
The prime minister spent around 30 minutes with his mother and other family members in the morning and then left for Ahmedabad airport, sibling Pankaj said.
PM Modi is on a three-day visit to Gujarat since January 17.

CBI court convicts NDFB chief Ranjan Daimary and 14 others in 2008 Assam serial blast case which killed 88 KNOWLEDGE SIR  The chief of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) Ranjan Daimary and 14 others were on Monday convicted by the CBI Special Court in the 2008 case of serial bomb blasts in Assam which had left 88 people dead. CBI Special Judge Aparesh Chakraborty convicted Daimary and 14 others under various sections of the IPC. The quantum of the judgement will be announced on Wednesday. Besides Daimary, the others convicted are George Bodo, B Tharai, Raju Sarkar, Nilim Daimary, Anchai Bodo, Indra Brahma, Loko Basumatary, Khargeswar Basumatary, Prabhat Bodo, Jayanta Bodo, Ajay Basumatary, Mridul Goyary, Mathuram Brahma and Rajen Goyary. Noida-Greater Noida Metro: UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurates Aqua line metro, to open for public from tomorrow KNOWLEDGE SIR The much-awaited metro rail linking the twin-cities of Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar was inaugurated on Friday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The rail corridor, also known as the Aqua Line, would run between Sector 71 station in Noida and the Depot Station in Greater Noida. Yes Bank names Ravneet Gill of Deutsche Bank India as MD & CEO KNOWLEDGE SIR Yes Bank on Thursday named Ravneet Singh Gill as its new managing director and CEO. In a regulatory filing, YES bank said it has received approval of the Reserve Bank of India for Gill to join on or before March 1, 2019. “The Bank has received RBI approval for its new MD & CEO, Mr. Ravneet Singh Gill for him to join on or before March 1, 2019 (Release regarding the same will be shared subsequently),”  Yes Bank  said.  The Reserve Bank has asked the private sector lender to find replacement of Kapoor, who will continue as the MD and CEO till January 31.
