IPS officer's brother among terrorists killed in Shopian encounter KNOWLEDGE SIR In a tale of two bothers on very different paths, one of the three terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Kashmir has been identified as the brother of an IPS officer. Sources have said the slain terrorist had quit his Unani medicine course to take up arms. Security forces engaged with terrorists in an operation in Shopian. Three terrorists were killed and one soldier has been reported injured. One of the three terrorists was identified as Shamsul Haq Mengnoo, son of Mohammad Rafiq Mengnoo of Draggud Village of Shopian District in South Kashmir. Shamsul's elder brother is Dr Inamulhaq Mengnoo, a 2012 batch IPS officer with an MBBS degree who is presently serving in Assam.
