Most of the choreography in ‘Mere Gully Mein’ is improvised, reveals Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh and choreographer Bosco Martis’ have given some smashing hits like Gallan Gudiyan from Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do and Tune Maari Entriyan from Gunday. Ranveer Singh’s energy and Bosco’s steps were almost the perfect formula for the two songs to turn into a rage.
Ranveer and Bosco have collaborated once again for Zoya Akhtar’s much anticipated next - Gully Boy. Speaking about how Bosco nailed the choreography of Meri Gully Mein, Ranveer says, “Of course, Bosco is always bursting with ideas so he was trying a few things and ultimately we decided that we just go on set and improvise in the space. And that’s more or less how it happened – Bosco was coming up with these moves on the spot and giving it to us and we were doing them. He used a lot of our improvised rapping to camera portions as well. So it’s mostly improvised.”
He had also mentioned, “It’s great collaborating with Bosco again who did an amazing job with Gallan Gudiyan and another one of my biggest hits - Tune Maari Entriyaan. Bosco is an amazing guy and amazing choreographer and I share an amazing warm and brotherlike. We have a bhai from another aai kind of equation and it was wonderful collaborating with him again.”
The cult hip-hop song Meri Gully Mein has been re-rendered for the film. Ranveer, Divine and Naezy have sung the new version and like the original, the new version of it has also gone viral.
