Indian Railways Launch Rail Kumbh Seva App; Here’s Everything You Need To Know

The North Central Railway (NCR) has launched a mobile application that will help those arriving in Allahabad for the Kumbh Mela starting from January 15 that will help people to navigate through the entire city as well as the Mela grounds. Kumbh is slated to commence from January 15, 2019, and continue till March 4, 2019.
People can get familiar with the concept with the help of their official app, the ‘Rail Kumbh Seva Mobile App’. The app will provide information regarding all the ‘Mela special’ trains that will be run during the period of the festival. Additionally, the app will provide a link to the user to buy both unreserved and reserved train tickets.
This app will provide critical and valuable information to the devotees, tourists and other passengers who will visit Allahabad during the Kumbh Mela period. The app is intended to place all this information on the fingertips of the users. Through this app, the user will not only get to know their current location but will also be able to reach to railway stations, major hotels, bus stations and other facilities within the aforementioned city.
It will also provide information about passenger amenities available at the stations, such as parking lots, refreshment rooms, waiting rooms, book stall, food plaza, ATMs and train enquiry, Malviya said.
Jio Kumbh App’s 6 Free Services:
-Pilgrims using this app will have access to the app’s free Lost and Found service. Since more than 13 crore people are expected to visit Allahabad for Kumbh Mela. Hence it is a very timely, and useful service. This service is branded as ‘Khoya Paaya’ service, which translates to Lost and Found.
-Using Family Locator service, visitors to Kumbh Mela can now trace and track their family members if they get lost.
-Real-time information on trains, buses and other transportation medium associated with Kumbh Mela can be accessed via this app.
-Passenger shelter and camps can also be located using this Kumbh 2019 app.
-Emergency numbers will be also available. Timings for the Holy baths, date and time for important events, maps and more information shall be provided to the app users, free of cost of course.
– Pilgrims who are not able to visit the Mela due to several circumstances, for those the app will provide a live darshan via JioPhone app. This live darshan will be telecasted 24*7 and has been named Jio TV via Kumbh Darshan. Bhajans and devotional songs will be also played via Kumbh Radio.

CBI court convicts NDFB chief Ranjan Daimary and 14 others in 2008 Assam serial blast case which killed 88 KNOWLEDGE SIR  The chief of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) Ranjan Daimary and 14 others were on Monday convicted by the CBI Special Court in the 2008 case of serial bomb blasts in Assam which had left 88 people dead. CBI Special Judge Aparesh Chakraborty convicted Daimary and 14 others under various sections of the IPC. The quantum of the judgement will be announced on Wednesday. Besides Daimary, the others convicted are George Bodo, B Tharai, Raju Sarkar, Nilim Daimary, Anchai Bodo, Indra Brahma, Loko Basumatary, Khargeswar Basumatary, Prabhat Bodo, Jayanta Bodo, Ajay Basumatary, Mridul Goyary, Mathuram Brahma and Rajen Goyary.
